TRANQUILITY SOLILOQUY

The world now streaming around us is a cycle of media, movement, images, moments, factoids and energy, in perpetuity. It is a longer gaze and a deeper inspection of one scene that allows respite from the whirl of half thoughts and sound bites.

With my camera lens, I record treasured moments of nature’s enduring majesty. Each view is precisely framed to spark personal remembrances of interactions with our surroundings. Not exactly landscapes, these photographs are visual poems gathered to form a collective autobiography of our fleeting, emotional encounters with earth’s ever changing beauty. These stanzas celebrate the pure beauty evident in simple urban and rural views of Milwaukee, Lake Michigan and the Great Lakes Region, as well as few glimpses of the world further afield.
